Collecting and creating The Zamora Collection has been this wonderful communion for Betty and me as we made our way through nearly sixty years of marriage. In some ways, the art and our marriage are inseparable. We have always loved each other, and art is part of our mighty love.
I cannot be sure exactly where and when I started collecting, because it feels that these works of art have always been a part of my life. I was drawn to this incredible body of work because I saw myself in it, and with each piece I collected, I discovered more about myself. My life was wanting for aspects of beauty, complexity, and truth, and this collection has provided all of that.
